This course is the first step for kids to recognise about diving, just one step down from Discover Scuba. All acitivity and duration same as Discover Scuba but its only can be done in the swimming pool.

Duration: Approximately 1 hour
Pre-qualifications:  10 years old

If you have ever wondered what it would be like to fly like a bird and thought that SCUBA Diving may provide you with the answer, you are absolutely right. But don't just take our word for it, come along to Kristal Klear Dive and check it out for yourself. For Rp 500,000, around $50, we will show you around the equipment that you will use, touch on the physics and physiology of diving and have you in the water “flying” like a bird in no time at all. This fun way to find out about SCUBA can be done in the Kristal Hotel swimming pool near the shop or out in the open water, it's your choice. If you then decide to go ahead and do the full Open Water Course (see below) your Discover SCUBA fee will be will be deducted from the cost of that course.

If you haven't been in the water for a while and you have a great dive holiday coming up, don't spend the first day of the holiday worrying about how to put your gear together and wondering if you will remember everything you are supposed to.

Come on down to Kristal Klear Dive and we will do a SCUBA Tune-up with you.

It is fun and we have an interactive CD ROM that you can take home with you. It will help you brush up on all the physics and physiology you need to know, along with re-familiarizing yourself with the equipment. There are short film clips in it as well as a knowledge review that you can print out.

After you have viewed the CD ROM, come back to us at Kristal Klear Dive and we will run through putting your equipment together and the skills that you need to know. In no time at all you will feel fully confident about getting wet again and you will start your dive trip with your fins on, sprinting for the water - well, you know what we mean.

The PADI Open Water Course is the course that around 70% of all recreational divers take to learn how to SCUBA Dive. It is a foundry course, and you will be SCUBA Diving, in our pool on day one. In this course you will learn about the equipment you will use, the physics and physiology of diving, how to deal with tricky situations you may encounter and just plain old how to have fun underwater.

Upon completion of the course you will be awarded a PADI Open Water Certification Card valid worldwide. This will enable you to dive, rent equipment and “buy air” anywhere in the world. Not only that, but when you complete the course you will have the well deserved satisfaction of having safely learned how to do something that up until recently only “hairy chested he-man types” were doing.

Duration: 2 days, normally over a weekend
Pre-qualifications:  Open Water Diver

The Advanced Open Water Course, which can be done immediately following the Open Water Course, is a great introduction to the various types of diving that can be carried out and learned as specialties. Among them are Wreck Diving, Underwater Photography and Videography, Boat Diving and (have you lost something overboard recently?) Search and Recovery. This is very much a dive oriented course with the emphasis on “getting wet”.

Out of the five dives carried out three are “core” dives, Navigation, Deep and Night. This will increase your experience and confidence in areas that touch on virtually all other types of diving. The other two will depend on your particular desires, but normally comprise one of the following:

• Wreck (there are three within easy striking distance of the Thousand Island Resort we use),
• Multilevel (a great way to learn the principles behind dive computers),
• Search and Recovery (dropped an outboard motor, no worries) and
• Drift (currents can be useful and exciting if you know how to handle them).

All of these dives are carried out under the experienced and watchful supervision of a PADI Instructor.

Duration: about 20 hours and 2 days diving
Pre-qualifications:   Advance Open Water Diver

This is one of the most interesting and rewarding courses that PADI offers. As a Rescue Diver you will raise your diving knowledge and skills several notches. Your focus will shift from primarily taking care of yourself underwater to taking care of others as well.

Some of the skills that you will learn:

• Self rescue and stress management
• In water resuscitation, First Aid and First Aid Equipment
• Management of emergencies
• Equipment functions and problems
• Rescue procedures for unconscious divers
• Missing diver procedures

By the time you finish the Rescue Diver Course you will be amazed at how confident you will feel in the water and at your ability to be able to recognize problem situations and deal with them.

Duration: about 50 hours, variable time diving
Pre-qualifications:  Rescue Diver and 20 logged dives

With the Dive Master Course you are entering the first level of becoming a PADI Dive Professional. If there is a single word that could describe what it is to become a Dive master it would most probably be responsible.

A Dive master is responsible for people, responsible for planning, responsible for orienting and at some stage will be responsible for nearly every aspect of safe diving.

During this course you will learn about:

• Dive Planning
• Dive Management and Control
• The Supervision of Students in Training
• Boat Diving Supervision and Control
• Supervision of Specialized Diving

This course could be the beginning of a whole new career, where the suit you wear to work has no tie because it is a swim suit.

The PADI qualification you earn in Indonesia is proof to dive shops and resorts around the world of your level of training as a diver. You will be able to rent or buy equipment from Tasmania to Alaska, from France to Fiji.  It also gives you the right to brag to your friends about your dive experiences in Indonesia.
